Can you paint the ceiling with gloss paint?

I painted the ceiling with silky paint. But i have not been able to get a shiny finish. Would painting it with gloss give u a better shine? Can you paint the ceiling with gloss paint?
Use a good quality paint. A good make Vinyl Silk , 2 coats and the job should look fine...Can you paint the ceiling with gloss paint?
you can but shouldn't - will look weird and will be a nightmare to paint over.
try eggshell, its like a glossy emulsion for walls
If you put thinner in with gloss you get a glass finish with 2-3

coats.Add some to get the same.
you can but it will be long job and you cannot stop when you start

try 2 coats with the silk one is not enough
yes you can
You don't paint a ceiling glossy. It gets yellowish over the years. Use only white ceiling paint. My uncles are builders. I get tips from them.
Better stick your shades on when you turn on the lights. Best to use a flat matt or if you want a sheen silk or eggshell. Gloss shows up every little imperfection a ceiling done in gloss will not look good
i think it would look a mess .you dont need a shine on a ceiling
I wouldn't, gloss paint tends to yellow, and it will be really difficult to put emusion or silk on it later if you have glossed it.
A semi-gloss finish is recommended for ceilings of room that are exposed to moisture or steam. This would include the kitchen, bathrooms, laundry room, etc. For other rooms, just use the same type of finish that you used for the walls.
its not usual to paint a ceiling with a reflective paint. sorry. they should be dull matt and the walls silky . but that is your idea.

it reflects light too much. and as i say your choice.
yes
do not paint your ceiling with gloss, gloss is highly flammable therefor if theres ever a fire in your house it will spread rapid, gloss is used on door frames doors etc.
yes u wood definitly get a better shine but its not the done thing really! but its entirely up to you
i dont think it is recommended that you use gloss paint on such a large area, get lots of lights instead! :)
Indeed it would; but why do you want a shiny ceiling? High gloss anything shows every imperfection in the plaster or drywall and every roller mark. We usually use flat.
No you want a silk emulsion, or egg shell.
You should really use flat paint on your ceiling, glossy, semi-gloss and egg shell can be used on the walls.
you can paint a ceiling with gloss but imagine the reflection you get of the tv when the lights are down low or off.

i'd use emulsion,ceiling paint.
