How does lip gloss make someone more attractive?

Red lipstick for instance, darkens the lips to mimic health. Same thing with using conditioner to make your hair shiny or the use of foundation to hide blemishes and even the same thing with mascara -it's used to make lashes look fuller and longer which is a desirable trait in humans.





I know that when I put on lip gloss, even if it's a non-colored one, I look much better than without it. Maybe I am crazy but it seems to make it easier and nicer looking to smile!
