Does anyone know how to get white gloss off of carpet?

tried white spirit but didn't work. Any good ideas?Does anyone know how to get white gloss off of carpet?
I know you tried white spirit and it didn't work...this would be the first thing i'd reach for too. So i cant think of anything as such that will lift the paint from your carpet.





Gloss paint is very difficult to remove but if there are only a few drops try cutting the very top of the paint away from the carpet using sharp manicure scissors or a razor to gently shave the dried in paint and carpets fibres away.





In the future...if you have gloss spills on fabric or carpets...cover it with a sheet of cling film or polythene to stop it from drying while you gather a few things to clean the spill up.

uh oh........time for a new carpet....
goof off . Hmm if spirits don't work and is still moist is it a water based paint?
Paint brush cleaner will help but try it on a bit of covered carpet first in case it makes the carpet dye run. If it is a big patch and you have spare carpet it can be cut out and a patch fitted. Removing the paint will take many attempts if it has dried solid.
Try Paint stripper, they sell tins called Nitromore in DIY stores, but try on a small bit of carpet out of site before you use it to make sure it doesn't take the colour out
i used sandpaper, then used washin-up liquid to get rid of the residue left.
