Can you use liquid deglosser to take the semi-gloss look out of the external painting on a house?

We just has our house painted with a so-called Behr External matt paint, however, because of the mildew resistant additive, it looks a little semi-glossed in areas. I thought that maybe a Liquid deglosser or maybe lightly sanding with very fine sand paper might dullen up the look a bit. sound logical? Can you use liquid deglosser to take the semi-gloss look out of the external painting on a house?

Try it on a small (out of the way) area and see what happens.
