Any way of getting gloss paint out of carpet?

I used gloss paint over the weekend and I have left a small stain on the carpet. Its hardly noticable but I wondered if there was a way to remove it?Any way of getting gloss paint out of carpet?
There is a product called Goof Off. It will get paint off your carpet without damaging the carpet as long as you follow the instructions. Get a cotton cloth and saturate it with Goof Off, then rub the paint stain. Do not pour Goof Off onto the carpet since it will ruin the backing of the carpet.

I just used this to clean spray paint off my carpet and it worked wonderfully. It also disintegrated my acrylic nails so you might want to wear gloves.Any way of getting gloss paint out of carpet?
You could try turps or white spirit but the carpet won't be as perfect as it was beforehand...
Yes, if the gloss paint is acrylic (i.e. water based), the best way to return the carpet to 'factory' is to shampoo it...however, if you don't have the cash to rent a shampooer, try the soap and water method...a little elbow grease can substitute well here for lack of funds.
';Goof Off'; works well

Be Blessed!
Claim on your insurance they will either clean it or give you a new carpet
if you use paint thinners..some times it ruins carpet..forget about small stain..schitzo
A cloth with hot water is what is required if paint is dry heat with hair dryer or steam from the cloth.
White spirit should do it.
Try some Acetone nail polish remover or GOO GONE remover...both sold at any good drugstore.
White Spirits will take it out, First with a blunt knife scrape a little ,then with an old rag and the spirits rub the stain this should lift it out also rinse with cold water and wash with tepid water and a little of your own shampoo It works just as good as any carpet shampoo
I used paint thinner to get out paint off my carpet. Good Luck
if its small enough use nail scissors to cut tufts

if its bigger than a 50 pence piece use thinners now today quick
I'm not sure if it will do paint... but Halfrauds say Swarfega is also good for getting oil and grease out of carpets.

i just get a tiny bit of white spirits and a shard knife and scratch it out then wash it i works for me but not a lot of white spirits as can change carpet colour
If its water based paint, soap and water works. If its oil based pain, paint thinner or varsol works. Dry cleaning fluid works too on oil based paints.
