I have blondish/ light brown hair. My eyes change from blue, gree, and gray. My complexion is medium. Makeup recommendations please! What shadow and lip gloss would be best for me?
If your skin type is warm and hair color is blonde and your are looking for makeup tips, then this is the right place for you. Although you have a warm skin-tone, your overall look is quite delicate. This means you should opt for tawny, neutral shades of make-up and apply then with a light touch so you enhance your basic colouring. Here are some tips on how to apply makeup for Warm Skin and Blonde Hair.
How to Apply Makeup
1. Applying Moisturizer - After applying a light, tinted moisturizer, stroke concealer onto problem areas. Blondes tend to have fine skin, often prone to surfae thread veins. Cover these effectively with concealer, applied with a clean cotton bud.
2. Applying Powder - Dip a powder puff into loose powder and lightly press over the areas that are prone to oiliness. This will absorb excess oil throughout the day, and leave your skin beautifully matte. Dust off any excess.
3. Applying eyeshadow - Sweep peach eyeshadow over your entire eyelid. It will blend with your natural skin tone, but give a clean wide-eyed look to your make up.
4. Use an eyeshadow brush to work a tiny amount of soft brown eyeshadow into the crease of your eyelid to create depth and defination to your eyes. Sweep it out towards the outer corner of your eyes as well.
5. Applying Eye liner - Still using same brown eyeshadow, work a little underneath your lower lashes. This gives a softer effect than traditional kohl pencil or eyeliner. Finish with tow coats of brown or black mascara.
6. Applying lipstick - Apply a light shade of lipstick. Then apply blusher, sweeping it a little at a time over your cheeks, forehead and chin. You can even dust a little over the tip of your nose.
This Look and Makeup Tips suits you if -
* you have golden, warm blonde or dark blonde hair
* your eyes are brown, blue, hazel or green - it will work equally wellWhat shadow and lip gloss would be best for me?
you sound like me! i usually just wear gold or dark brown eyeshadow and dark brown mascara, i usually don't wear lipstick or lipgloss, but when i do i keep it light (peach, nude, ect)
Smokey brown eyeshadow will make blue eyes stand out nicely.. just a shiny lip gloss will look good.. maybe put on some blusher to bring out your cheekbones.

Can you use high-gloss paint as a whiteboard? how good of a quality is it?
If not... any alternatives for a whiteboard (other than an actual whiteboard). thanks! Can you use high-gloss paint as a whiteboard? how good of a quality is it?
Go to a lumberyard and buy a sheet of melamine covered masonite. It runs about $10-12 for a 4'x8' sheet and is easily cut to smaller size with a saw.
If you want some cheap molding, buy J-molding that will just slip right on.

Should I use semi gloss or Satin paint for my dining room?
Which is mostly used in that area?Should I use semi gloss or Satin paint for my dining room?
alot of times now a days people are painting there dining rooms with some pretty stunning colours so if this is the case i would use a matte finish. it is scrubbable and most paint companies off it now and if your drywall finish is not the best it will hide alot of imperfection. also make sure that you repair and cracks or popped screwheads and primer them and sand all of your walls and in between coatsShould I use semi gloss or Satin paint for my dining room?
Go with a Satin. Semi gloss paints are way to shiny and will show every little imperfection on your walls. Do you want your house to look like the inside of an Amish home? That's all they use is semigloss. Plus it can be very difficult to paint with a semigloss as you may have to put 2-3 coats on to hide your roller marks. Good day.
Definitely satin.
Generally satin. But.... if you have kids and expect the walls to need washing alot, you might want to consider semi-gloss. More important is to use a good quality paint!!
satin semi os too glossy shows imperfections
satin.
Go with eggshell. It has a bit more sheen than satin, but not the glaring glossiness of a semigloss. Semigloss is used in bathrooms, kitchens, laundry rooms - basically where you have a lot of moisture. The flatter a paint is, the more difficult it is to clean. So, there's another advantage of eggshell over satin.
I believe that Satin is way prettier!! Go with it!!
You are in a realm of personnal taste here, me, it would have to be satin, or egg shell. If you are going for a unique look, maybe something you have seen that you like, maybe a semi gloss will give you that look.
Most modern paints all clean up well, it doesnt have to be glossy to clean up.
good luck,
j
I don't like shiny paint on interior walls, although I'll tolerate it in kitchens and baths because they need to be washable and/or moisture resistant.
Go for the one closer to a matte finish. I think that's satin?
Satin looks great, but semi-gloss is easier to clean if you have small children.
John is right, going with semi or high gloss because it is more cleanable is a thing of the past. Most good quality paints are washable, even flat paints. The biggest considerations in choosing your finish is the quality of the surface, the amount of light in the room, and individual taste. Gloss paint do accentuate imperfection, but also save on energy consumption. They reflect light, so you can lower to wattage of the bulb you are using and get the same amount of light. Dark flat paints absorb the light so you have to increase the wattage. Just something in addition to consider. Think Green.

To paint over semi-gloss paint, do I really need to sand before the primer?
I'm going to re-paint a couple of bathrooms that are currently painted with semi-gloss paint. Can I just put primer over the semi-gloss or do I really need to sand?To paint over semi-gloss paint, do I really need to sand before the primer?
I don't sand it in a major way, I just go over it quickly with one of those sponge/sandpaper things
The main thing is make sure there's no oil or soap on the surface.
That 1.2.3. stain block is the best primer I've ever used. I've even painted over glossy surfaces and ceramic tiles. To paint over semi-gloss paint, do I really need to sand before the primer?
You can just put on the primer let it dry and they paint on your base coat. I usually repaint the interior of my house at least once every 18 months -- get bored of the current color. I just apply a primer and then the next day apply the base coat. I like Behr sold in Home Depot it really does a great job covering. I used to use Glidden (it was cheaper) but then I had to apply several coats to cover the walls. With the Behr its just one coat of primer and one coat of base coat.
there are some primers that are heavy duty enough for it but it would be better to give the wall a quick sand with a fine grain sandpaper. It will give you a cleaner end coat
All you need to do is wipe the wall down with TSP solution, available in the paint department of home improvement stores. Wear rubber gloves too!
Don't need to prime or sand, just wipe on some gloss cutter sold at home centers. Just sanding with 150 grit sandpaper will get you there too.
If you purchase a good quality primer you can get away with priming without sanding. As far as sanding, it's not like what is necessary when hanging drywall, you just need to lightly rub sandpaper over the surface of the wall - not too much effort exerted, really.
But, at least do primer, I know people who've put on paint over semi-gloss and had the new paint virtually slide down the wall. The previous owners of my home did this in the bathroom - what a mess!
I've had several people recommend 1-2-3 by Zinsser as a primer and it worked well for me. Covered dark blue walls without a second thought and then I covered it with a light color.
Rather than buy a product like gloss cutter, use a kitchen pan cleaner, the scouring type. That's enough to get a key into paint. I prefer to sand (Or rather to aluminium oxide on a roll paper) to ensure I get a mirror finish.
Yes, put a primer on the wall if you do not want the shine to come through. Primer, also make it so you do not have to put two coats of paint on the wall.
I personal use all kelly moore paints.

Use pens with an alcohol base - OHP pens are ideal for this. other spirit based ';permanent '; markers should work too. Try different makes before doing the whole design. How to draw on gloss pvc bag?

What's the best way to prepare for painting with gloss?
The wood i am painting is already painted with gloss. How much do i need to sand? (Im a lazy DIYer). What's the best way to prepare for painting with gloss?
DO NOT put comet on your wood!!!!!!!!!!!!! get some sanding sponges and sand it down to get the shine out. the sanding sponge works well because it is easy to hold and is flexible to get into the grooves. What's the best way to prepare for painting with gloss?
You need only to sand enough to remove the glossy finish not the paint and and any imperfections in the old finish. Make sure you remove any sanding residue before painting
You can quickly knock down the gloss with comet and a sponge.
Or get a primer that adheres to gloss.

How do I get gloss paint out of dog fur...?
I've been glossing and I've just noticed my Rottie and choccie lab have gloss streaks all down their sides!!!
How do I get it out????How do I get gloss paint out of dog fur...?
Lol they always pick the time when youre decorating to lie against the walls. If its just a little i would cut it out, but try bathiing them first and see if that helps. Also try brushing them with a rubber curry brush it should rub the paint out.How do I get gloss paint out of dog fur...?
The safest thing to do is gently/carefully cut it out. I don't advise the use of white spirit,(turpentine) as this may cause harm to your dogs.
try petroleum jelly or some other oil based lubricant, or just plain soap and water.
Hmmm, their hair will most likely be too short to cut. Let it grow out.
Shave his hair unfortunately...it'll grow back again.
Cut it out, don't worry fur grows back
Cut the fur off - sorry, but it's better than using thinners or turps on your dog.
At least the fur will grow back.
You can use turpintine. But use it with caution. Do it in a well ventilated area. Take some on an washcloth and rub it out. Make sure when your done you give your dog a bath with soap and water because ingestion is fatal.
Rather snip the painted fur off. Don't use chemicals and cleaning products on animals, it could really do more harm than good. Or try rubbing some petroleum jelly (vaseline) into the fur.
Would suggest Gillette g4 along with Gillette Sensitive foam, next time you feel like painting the dog, do a still life bowl of fruit instead
Quick before it dries!!!
Cloth and Brush Cleaner fluid. Rub their fur until it comes out then wash off thoroughly as it is toxic to digest.
Luckily they don't have long hair!!
a blow torch would do it
with great difficulty try a bit of soap water!! most paints are water soluable now adays
Use scissors the hair grows back you know
I know
Well, suggest that you paint the whole dog in the same colour, maybe adding a few contasting colours as well, let it dry for 12 hours, then take him out for a walk.
He will be the talk of the towndownloads

splash proof/washable? I would rather use a water based paint but will this mean it is not washable?I need to paint the walls of the downstairs loo. Do I have to use gloss or will a waterbased silk be?
A water based silk is fine for the walls. There are also some paints now available specifically for kitchens and bathrooms witch can be found at most DIY stores. If you are worried about damp you can Also buy Damp proof paint.I need to paint the walls of the downstairs loo. Do I have to use gloss or will a waterbased silk be?
Gloss should only be used on woodwork/metalwork etc. Use a water based silk for the walls. Once the paint is dry it is totally washable.
Water-based silk or water-based eggshell will be fine.
water base paint will be perfect

How easy is it to use pour on high gloss finish?
I was just wondering if it is easier to use Modge Podge or Enviro Tex Lite high gloss finish. I am making tile coasters and am new to the whole thing. I know they both have their pros and cons but the most important thing to me is making sure that they look the best they can. Any suggestions? Thank you!How easy is it to use pour on high gloss finish?
The pour on would be the best, but you MUST have the coasters PERFECTLY level before you start.

What kind of gloss should a large lipped person use?
I've got big lips. Bigger tha Angelina Jolie. Should I stick to sheer glosses so my lips don't look even bigger? What are some good sheer(not to expensive) glosses?
Please, and thank you! ;)What kind of gloss should a large lipped person use?
I always feel that large lips do not need gloss, since we use gloss to give the illusion of bigger pouts. If i had ur large lips i would stay away from gloss but use sexy red or darker lipstick to complement them instead. Large lips can also pull off matte and make them look smokin! If u really want a lil shine just put some gloss in the centre of ur lips. U dont want it everywhere cos ur lips will overpower the rest of ur features. What kind of gloss should a large lipped person use?
use any lipgloss yew want just dont apply a lot of the lipgloss because yewr lips will be super shiny and stand out just put enough to make the gloss show!
I HAVE A SOLn
take some foundation and put it over ur lip.....not the whole lip but so that ur lip looks smaller....
and then put lip liner on and some dark color lipstick
*Almay
*Bonne Bell
*Covergirl
*Lancome
*Loreal
*Maybelline
*Revlon
Try clear to a pinkish clear lip gloss but not liek little girls pink like shiny hot hpink it looks trashy try Pinkish vito 2 gloss
gurl u arent the only one when i was little i use to have a habit of pushingmy bottom lip downandmy mom sadi ur bottom lip will be huge and u know know one likes to listen to there mom and now my bottom lip is huge i jsut were anylip gloss maybe from bath and body works nad claires and jcpenny ! even rue 21
You should be proud of your big lips. So show them off by applying your fave color lipstick then put a clear super glossy layer on top. It'll look super hot!
I personally love
Sally Hanson
Diamond Lip treatment
it helps with chapped lips
and isn't TOO Much.
go for a light TINT
not a color.
get dark colors and put a liner around the outline edge
I have big lips too i wear an nice clear lip color, sometimes a nice cherry color.
Go for neutral colors or shades.Avoid the sheer glosses they only attract people's attention to your lips.I have fuller lips and don't bother myself with glosses.I put on lip balm and i am done.
Fuller lips,good for kissing...
Don't hide your big lips show them off
using gloss is very beneficial to girls or woman with thin and small lips at it makes the illusion of bigger fuller lips. but because you are already blessed with this wonderful lips, you need not stick to puting and applying gloss anymore. i am not sure whcih brand to recommend to you as my lips are not as full as yours but you may benefit from amking your own gloss whcih will give yuo the right color you need. plus you did not mention if you are white or black so it is not really easy for me to suggest anything that will help you. with a simple jar of vaseline or petrolium jelly and a shade of lipstick that you really want, you can create a gloss that is just right for your taste. good luck.
don't know but big lips are sexy
i think i would stick to matte glosses. not too wet. the shinier your lips are, the more attention you'll call to them - and perhaps the more that people will notice your concern about your large lips.
large lips are beautiful. and if you want to play them up, by all means. just choose a shade that compliments your skin tone, and then choose the level of shine you're most comfortable with
i've always had good luck with brands you can get in any drug store. all price ranges there, so pick what you like.
have fun experimenting...

I have formica counter tops that have a high gloss finish?
I usually clean them with Windex however now they do not shine as they did previously.
Should I be using something else?I have formica counter tops that have a high gloss finish?
the amonia could be drawing out the shine try some vinegar and water...I have formica counter tops that have a high gloss finish?
just wipe over every day when you wash the dishes and shine up with a old towel
Here is the info direct from the Formica Corp:
http://www.formica.com/publish/site/na/u鈥?/a>
I had shiny counters once, and used a good auto paste wax on them from time to time. Worked like a charm---just like your car, it keeps them clean, stains don't penetrate, they are easier to clean, hides little scratches, and stayed very shiny. I cleaned them with a wet rag, or with my dishwater---very diluted sudsy water. Looked like new in a busy kitchen with 3 kids after 7 years. Then we moved.
Paste wax for cars can be used on any laminate counter, even the matte finish---they will just be shiny when you're done, but ultimately will be easier to clean and look nicer in the future.
*************** Try to avoid ammonia, such as window cleaner. It is a solvent and eats the wax. I just use a damp dish rag---and if I am cleaning up a greasy mess, I use my dishwater that contains detergent. What you use is less critical than making a decision about how often you feel like waxing your counter. If you like using Windex, do it---just plan to re-wax sooner as your finish will dull out again. (I was too busy with my kids to mess with it often, so I did what I could to reduce the amount of wax I removed with each cleaning)
Hope this works for you!
They make a cleaner called Counter-Gloss by Gel-Gloss. It is a kitchen detailer it is suppose to beautify and protect as it cleans. It is for tile, solid surface, granite %26amp; marble, and laminate. I probably will not replace the glossy shine that you have lost but it will sure help protect against stains. I bought mine at Menards home store. I do not know if you can get it anywhere else (I have never checked for it anyplace else). You might find it at Home Depot or Lowes, or wherever you can buy counter tops. I hope I have helped you out.
Gel-Gloss Cleaner Polish

It's possible that the gloss is lost and gone forever. That is the problem with laminated counter tops -- they are inexpensive and look good when new, but they don't hold up very well.
The actual finish layer of most plastic laminates is thin like paper. Since it is plastic, any harder material such as metal or porcelin can scratch it. (you have probably noticed counters in stores where the finish layer has worn completely through). The dullness you see may be the acumulation of tiny scratches. Some type of polish made for that would make the counter look better but the scratches would still be there. Soapy water is the mildest thing you could use. It kills germs too. Some types of plastic, such as polycarbonate sheet, recommend never using amonia and only using dishwashing liquid and water to preveny scratching and dulling.
I would quit using the Windex.
I personally would not like to smell vinigar. Antibacterial Lysol Kitchen and bath, Or plain old Antibacterial dish soap.Face it nothing will shine or stay new forever.
Edward is actually incorrect. Laminate countertops are inexpensive, but they do hold up for a long period of time. I don't have any experience with the shiny ones (I have seen them though). I would first question how old they are and if there is some type of defect. It could be that that brand is just truely cheap and doesn't stand up. You should be able to use harsh chemicals on your kitchen top because of the type of use it gets.

How do lip gloss plumpers work?
I tried one for the first time and noticed it makes your lips burn and tingle a little after a couple seconds. How do lip gloss plumpers work?
it increases the blood flow to the lips. it does burn/sting when it works. i don't like using them.
instead when you put lip gloss on follow these steps:
1 use a clear or light color gloss with no glitter in it. cover top and bottom lips like you normally would
2 use a darker gloss (if the gloss you used for step one was pale pink use a light red) or a gloss that has glitter in it and apply only to the center of your top and bottom lips. (right between the cupids bow on the top and same area on the bottom)
this will make your lips seem fuller. How do lip gloss plumpers work?
They hurt soo much!! Erm they make your lips swell. They have an anesthetic in them
no they dont work
I agree.. they aren't comfortable. I used Lip Injection. It worked, but only a little. And after my lips were dry and sore. Don't bother. Try the gloss the other person suggested.
it does that because its making your lips swell which can hurt but makes your lips look bigger. easier way to plump your lips brush them with a toothbrush and then apply vaseline. no pain but it works

How can I change the color of my lip gloss?
I have some lip gloss.
It's almost white, but it has a light pink shade.
I've tried mixing in a red color in to it to change the color, but it's no use.
Is there anyway to change the color? How can I change the color of my lip gloss?

I need to gloss my wooden door. which kind of paint should i buy?
oh and do i need a mask if i paint? does paint kill brain cells?I need to gloss my wooden door. which kind of paint should i buy?
I would suggest that you give it a good cleaning first, with Murphy's Oil Soap, and see if that helps pick up the shine.
THEN, if it's still not shiny enough, go get a top coat to apply. If your door catches a lot of sunshine and/or weather, then ask for a marine grade urethane. Give it a light scuffing with some steel wool, clean it off with a tack cloth, and apply the topcoat.
Wearing a mask certainly doesnt hurt... get one with the charcoal embedded in it to help block fumes....not the simple dust mask.
Oh... tip to help prevent runs when you apply a finish.... take the door off the jamb, and lay it across a couple of sawhorses, or on a bench top. Don't forget to remove the knobset too.
Have FunI need to gloss my wooden door. which kind of paint should i buy?
U should you just a stainer becouse its water proof and just gives it a bueutiful glow.
When you go to the store they will show you. Very easy Just ask. Semi gloss is for bathrooms where is wet. regular paint is for doors might not be gloss at all. Wear a mask and keep the area well ventilated. Go for it
Your brain should come out of the experience fine. Do it in a ventilated area. I like light oils and I put it on regular to keep the finish up. A light sanding between coats is good but make sure not to sand through the finish in the edges. Dust should be removed to keep the best glossy apearance.
Some front doors that have a storm door on them and face in a sunny direction can heat up intensely, sometimes even without a storm door to trap the heat. Check to see if this is so first.
Sherwin Williams has a product called Duration that has a special formula that may help in this case. Please contact a professional to help to check out the surface conditions before you start.
it's best to use a mask when painting especially if you're gonna use cleaning solvents to clean the brushes
as for does it kill brain cells, well, i dunno about all that but if it smells bad then it's your brain telling you to protect your body
we need to know what kind of look you're going for. what door? front door? bedroom door? what? you probly need to sand a lot first if it's not smooth!!

How do you feel about Beauty Rush lip gloss from Victoria's Secret?
I just applied some of the Peach Buzz flavor and it smells and tastes delcious! Plus it goes on smooth and is definitely not sticky! How do you feel about Beauty Rush lip gloss from Victoria's Secret?
I LOVE the entire Beauty Rush line, especially the lipgloss...it's not sticky, it tastes great,it goes on and STAYS ON smooth and the price is reasonable!!! its the only kind i use!!!How do you feel about Beauty Rush lip gloss from Victoria's Secret?
I think is way too thick and gloppy. And it is very sticky. 2 me anyways
i think it great except its a little too sticky. i have carriberry. they have reakky good shades and stay on forever!!
I liked it too until it started drying out my lips and causing them to peel. It was the only product I used, so, I know it was the cause. I now use Neutrogena Moisture Shine Lip Smoother. It has cooling hyrdagel and SPF 20. My lips feel great. If you have no problems with the Beauty Rush, great! If you do... I recommend trying Neutrogen. :)
its soooo good! I have Strawberry Fizz and AppleTinni, i luv them they make my lips real shiny and pretty!
The Peppermint flavor smells/tastes good, but the gloss is too thick and sticky for me. I like the C.O. Bigelow Brand lip glosses that Bath %26amp; Body Works carry. They have a better texture and are rich in vitamins to keep your lips soft! They're $7.50 or 2/$10!
the best lipgloss ever is the one from bath and body works lipilious

How do you repair dents to a white gloss table?
Afternoon all. I have bought a table on clearance. It was a bargain, but was one for a reason. It has a chip. How can I make it less noticeable? How do you repair dents to a white gloss table?
a picture is worth 1000 words this way we could see the actual damage before we give the best repair options. there are plenty of wood-workers on this site that can help you ..but not with limited information we need to know things such as the present texture finish; is it laquer coated, is it formica laminated , is it veneer laminated, the type of wood, is it a catalyzed paint finish or the adhesive gloss paper, etc..How do you repair dents to a white gloss table?
If the table is wood, you can repair it easily.
Buy a tube of wood putty. Fill the chipped area with putty. (It's better to over-fill it than to under-fill it.)
Allow the putty to cure overnight.
Sand the repaired area, first with medium sand paper and then with fine sand paper.
It's also better to over-sand than to under-sand.
If the repair seems smooth, re-paint the table including the repaired area. I suggest floor paint with a gloss finish. Floor paint is more durable than regular paint.
If you paint the table and realize the repair is still noticeable, add more wood putty to the repair and start the process again.
You can get wood putty and floor paint at any hardware store.
You will probably have to re-paint the whole table in order to get the repair to blend, but just a quart of paint should be more than enough to do the job.
First, it would help to know what sort of 'chip' it is. If it is a 'potato chip' it could need a bit of cheese. If it is a fried chip a bit of fish may be a good filler. Is this help-full ? It is a bit difficult to know these days.
Is it a table with a formica top that is chipped, or is it a lacquered white table?
it depends on the finish if the finish has been sprayed on then its not an easy fix like the previous answer suggests its difficult to answer the question properly without assessing....
I made the mistake causing a chip in a glass table, and believe me my roommate at the time let me know about it.
Read answer number two... It reads like someone knows what they are writing about...

Trust me, lots of guys i know also dont like lip gloss on girls. What lip gloss should I use for when I go to 7th grade?
you can get the ones from the chinese hair store that got some called MAK work just as good (way cheaper though cost 1.00 to 1.99 depends on which kind you buy. or you can try this one only a dollar http://www.boomcosmetic.com/product.php?鈥?/a> ) as the lipglass from MAC you the one in the tube, wanna look glossy rite that is the best kind
Err...do seventh graders nowadays require lipglosses to go to school? I think anything would work, don't go for the high-end department store brands, you don't need it. Drugstore brands like Revlon, Covergirl, Loreal, Rimmel etc. work and are pretty cheap.

Where can I find the Dessert Beauty lip gloss?
I've tried the Dessert Treats lip gloss and I'll say it's really good, but I really want to try the Dessert Beauty brand more. I live in Glendale, CA and I can't find it at my Sephora or anything! I really want to try those lip glosses because I want a really tasty lip gloss. The website for Dessert Beauty is gone, and eBay costs a little too much for all 9 flavours. Walgreens doesn't have it anymore, and I'm really tired of Dessert posers. If any of you know or if you've tried this lip gloss brand, tell me, I'd love to know! How can I be sure that this lip gloss does not have the coldsore virus?
I decided I was going to use my sister's lip gloss because I can, and I do recall a time when she had a coldsore, and I really would not like one. Is there any way that I could 'get rid of' in a way, any chance of me getting it?
Should I likeeeeeeee disinfect it or something? How can I be sure that this lip gloss does not have the coldsore virus?
If it's in a tube you can give the applicator a wipe with an antibacterial cloth and squeeze the desired amount onto your finger then apply that way. The chances of the virus surviving there is not likely but it's a bit risky. If you have the option, I would go out and buy your own. If you get stuck with a cold sore, it will be for life. You should be fine though if she hasn't had a recent cold sore.

Can you paint a wooden dresser with semi gloss paint?
I want to paint my bedroom suit. I already have some Olympic Premium kitchen and bath semi gloss white paint from a project I never got started on. I was wondering if this was the right kind of paint for the job. I don't want to paint my bedroom suit and it's start peeling or something. I want something that will stick. If this is not the right kind of paint, what would be the right kind? Thank you so much! Can you paint a wooden dresser with semi gloss paint?
There is only one difference between that paint and regular semigloss. Kitchen and bath paint is made to hold up in moist conditions. It is also more mildew resistant. This makes good arguments against using regular paint in kitchens and bathrooms but not the other way around. The paint you have can be used for almost any interior application. Don't forget primer and sandpaper. Can you paint a wooden dresser with semi gloss paint?
That is the right kind of paint. The most important thing is to prepare the surface properly. You did not say what type of finish is on the dresser now. It will probably need to be cleaned, lightly sanded to dull the existing finish, primed with a good primer like Kiltz, and then painted. Use a good quality brush to avoid brush marks in the finish.

How can I be allergic to my lip gloss all of a sudden?
I have been using my lip gloss for about a year and my lips had no reaction to the lip gloss for 7 months.
About 4 months ago my lips started peeling and felt like they were chapped real bad. I kept using my lip gloss because I thought it was from the weather change.
Then last month my lips became itchy and swollen after using my lip gloss. I changed to medicated chapstick and within 3 days my lips were fine. Its been a month without lip gloss and I haven't had a reaction.
This was an allergic reaction, right?
Why did I become allergic to my lip gloss after using it forever? How can I be allergic to my lip gloss all of a sudden?
I became allergic to many many glosses, lip sticks etc. I found out that it is the red pigment in most of them. The ONLY lipstick or gloss is Merle Norman and gloss that is not gloss at all, Vasoline and Chapstick. Good luck, SuzanneHow can I be allergic to my lip gloss all of a sudden?
I was thinking maybe the container of lip gloss is too old and or contaminated. Try a new container of the lip gloss.Lip gloss should be replaced every 2-3 months at least.
The human body can develop allergies. I developed an allergy to strawberries totally randomly.
You can become sensitized to a substance over time. I used he Ortho-Evra patch for a couple years and then all of a sudden it turned my skin all read and would itch like crazy, and my doc said it as an allergic reaction. So it can happen, even if you don't have any type of reaction initially.
There is no rhyme nor reason to why allergies develop. But I don't like most lipsticks and lip glosses because they ultimately do what you describe, after making the skin feel thick and waxy.
allergies come and go. That is the freaky truth. Try using your lip gloss again in a few months.
did you change your soap or are you using any acne medicine? i thought that this lip gloss messed up my lips the other day and then i realized that i got some medicine on my lips my accident when i was sleeping... it burned my lips and made them dry... carmex took it away within a day or two

Do you have any suggestions for a lip gloss that makes your lips more pinkish and shiny?
My lips are naturally more red and I hate it. I want a lip gloss (not lip stick!) that will make them more pink then red. Thank you.Do you have any suggestions for a lip gloss that makes your lips more pinkish and shiny?
eww dont put concealer over your lips because its gross, and drys your lips out and then there is cracks of concealer on your lips. and that is not hott. but cover girls lipgloss is pretty but macs is so so so much better but its kinda sticky so watch your hair!Do you have any suggestions for a lip gloss that makes your lips more pinkish and shiny?
First of all... makeup artists use concealer on the lips all the time.
. however, you do not need it for this look
Mary Kay's Pink Daimonds or Coral Rose lip gloss should do the trick!!
Try a little concealer over your lips. Then apply peachy pink light lip color.
try covergirl. it works the best! hope it helped : )
Covergirl one is always good! Otherwise MAC offer some nice pinkish glosses....otherwise concealer and then a pinkish over the top is nice :)
I have a lot of pink in my lips, and wanted them more red. I use a Cherry tint gloss from Bobbi Brown.
Since your lips may be much more pigmented, you could try a Lip Polish from Stila. They are more pigmented then a regular lip gloss. Apply with brush at end of product, and they have several colors to choose from - you could try that to be more pinkish and glossy. The Lip Glaze is too sheer, more of a regular gloss from Stila.

How to print pale colour sticker on clear gloss sticker paper?
I'm having some black USB memory sticks that I want to print out some logo design on clear sticker paper and stick onto them. As the background colour is black, for the logo to be shown, I have to set them with pale colour (almost white) but it is also not possible to print white colour... Is there anyway that we can walk around this? How to print pale colour sticker on clear gloss sticker paper?
Print on white stickers and trim them down.

How can I minimise the paint fumes in a fairly small room. It's gloss paint?
I've got the windows open and the door, but the smell is making me feel ill. I've got to get it finished, help please. How can I minimise the paint fumes in a fairly small room. It's gloss paint?
well i hear if you cut open a few onions and let them sit this will help not sure which smell is worse though lolHow can I minimise the paint fumes in a fairly small room. It's gloss paint?
Believe it or not, if you go to the supermarket and buy some vanilla essence, add 3 teaspoons to each litre of paint (you can add a little more if needed), stir well and there will be no smell. I used to work in a wallpaper shop and we sold small bubble like capsules of what was called paint deodoriser, it was simply vanilla essence. The onion trick helps with the already painted surfaces, but you really will have no smell if you add vanilla essence to the paint and it doesn't affect the paint.
Open all windows and doors and if possible run an electric fan so that air is constantly circulating. If you cannot do this, then I suggest you paint a small section at a time, a door, a window frame etc then leave it to dry.
Time consuming I know but better for your health.
I've used the onion trick, and it does help. Also, try soaking an old tea towel in water and vinegar, wring it out, and hang it up near an open window.
the problem with opening all the windows at this time of year is that you will probably have flies of all descriptions stuck in your nice fresh paintwork - the onion trick works as described by the answerers above
~x~
Probably not of much help as you already have your paint but you should be able to buy low odour gloss trim paint now.
Burn candles, but remember don't leave them unattended.
Toast bread until it burns. The resulting carbon kills the smell
onions cut in quarters aborbs the smell

How do I get the soap scum and gunk off my new Sterling Hi-Gloss Vikrell tub and surround?
and how do I keep my cultured marble vanity shiny-clean without using scouring or scrubbing pads, which will cause permanent scratches? I have tried so many soap-scum removing cleaners that just do NOT work! How do I get the soap scum and gunk off my new Sterling Hi-Gloss Vikrell tub and surround?
I cleaned homes for several years and found a great way to clean soap scum. Save all your fabric softener sheets after they have been used and use those sheets to clean with. You can use Scrubbing Bubbles or any other scum product but the success is in how the scum rolls off with that used dryer sheet. It works wonderful on the faucets too. Plus it makes the clear and hammered look shower doors a piece of cake to clean. Plus each time you do, it gets easier to maintain. How do I get the soap scum and gunk off my new Sterling Hi-Gloss Vikrell tub and surround?
I know how you said you didn't want to use a scrub pad. But I so recomend the Mr. Clean Earser. That seems to work for everything and you don't get any damaging effects.
my granny called it ';elbow grease.';
Dow Scrubbing Bubbles always works for me! If you don't like that, try amonia.
I LOVE the Mr. Clean eraser. It works wonders on soap scum.
Make sure it's good and wet when you use it. The eraser needs to be wet as well as the tub itself. Just keep rubbing and rubbing. It does come off without too much effort. . . it's definitely not a spray on, spray off kind of product, though.
Good luck! I am quite sure this will take care of your problem!
Have you tried SoftScrub and a sponge?
Mr. Clean Erasers
they really do wonders..my friend used it on their hummer...some kids keyed it and she used that and it really worked...
try using REAL lemon juice. not the fake kind that comes in the plastic shaped lemon. take a wedge of lemon and scrub it on the tub. let it sit for a few mintes and the soap scum and all mineral deposits should be removed. to kill the germs, make a solution of distilled white vinegar and water. should be about 3 oz / quart of water. this is envirnmentaly friendly and works wonders.downloads

What is the best place to store lip gloss?
I read somewhere that heat can ruin lip gloss quickly and a lot of my lipglosses have become bad. What is the best place and temperature to keep lip gloss at?What is the best place to store lip gloss?
Just don't keep it anywhere warm and bright. Make-up bag would do. If you have loads keep the extra ones in the fridge :-)What is the best place to store lip gloss?
37.4 degrees on your face
i keep mine in the fridge... makes it last longer.
ditto nail vanish - makes it thicker and easier to apply.
In the oven...But make sure you pre heat it at 350...
If heat ruins lip gloss, then I'd suggest a temperature a few degrees lower than room temperature to place it in. Then you might try keeping it downstairs, sice hot air rises.
anywhere except for in the car
I keep my lip glosses on the bathroom counter. Definately don't leave your lip glosses in the car. :)
I usually store mine in my purse,my pocket or my make up bag.I think ur purse would be good.
the fridge
Did you know that Vaseline is the best product to use. You cant take that anywhere regardless of the temperature.
too warm and the lipgloss will become too runny/begin to split.
too cold and it wont run very freely.
just below room temperature is the best idea :]
ina draw away from heat
Don't know for lip gloss but nail varnish is better in the fridge.
some are better in the fridge. make sure it's not too hot and that is it somewhat dry. not in the car

Lancome's Juicy Tubes are sweetest smelling and tasting. Very glossy and not sticky. Also, MAC Lipglass is very good. And for one with no flavour or fragrance, Clinique will have a new long-wearing, 8hr., SPF15 lipgloss out this summer. I've already tried it and it really does stay on the longest of any glosses I've tried, it stays on and conditions your lips while protecting with the SPF.
i agree
Victoria's secret
beauty rush
definitely the best..
and can get you kissing a cutie

What is a good chapstick and lip gloss for my kind of lips?
My lips are constantly dry, and at the end of school there's always white stuff on my lips. It's like over mosturized. My lips sometimes gets wrinkly. Is Burt's Bees a good chapstick that doesnt leave white stuff on your lips? if yes, what kinda of chapstick and lipgloss of burts bees is good for my lips. What is a good chapstick and lip gloss for my kind of lips?
Burt's Bees FOREVER! I HIGHLY Recommend them. What is a good chapstick and lip gloss for my kind of lips?
I say GO WITH THE BURT'S BEE'S!!!!
It works wonders i use it everyday and it never leaves that white stuff left over cause i use to always have that problem and burt's bee's has lipgloss too! You can get the same flavor lipgloss as you have chapstick :) hope it helped
a year ago my lips became so chapped after i had a cold, it was so bad that i could hardly talk and smiling would make my lips bleed. i was recommended BIOTHERM AQUASOURCE LEVRE, and within a couple of hours my lips were super hydrated and i've never had that probem again.
but also make sure you drink enough water:)
BURTS BEES all the way!
It's amazing.
For lipgloss, CO Bigalow [I think that's how you spell it] from Bath and Body Works.
Burts Bees and CO B have really good minty products that make your mouth feel all cool and tingly. If you don't like that, they have other flavors.
I use good old Vaseline for my lips. You can buy it in a little tube. It makes your lips soft and shiny. I slather it on several times a day and always have soft, kissable lips. (I wear lipstick in public, but at home I always use Vaseline.)
Don't know about Bees.
But go to the drugstore and talk to the pharmacist they know exactly which one is best and for your problem.
There are so many out there and you don't want to spend your money just to throw it away.
Good Luck
when my lips are chapped i get a toothbrush and i use some toothpaste to exfoliate my lips then i use carmex lip balm to keep them really soft and moisturized
burts bees is really good and so is carmex
either or will do
i like soft lips a lot
burt bees is good and just regular chapstick might help toodownloads

What kind of eyeshadow should I wear with bronzer and peach tinted lip gloss?
I just want to achieve the sun kissed glow but im confused about what eye shadow to use? I am half black half white but i came out a red head with freckles and deep dark brown eyes. And i am fairly white but tan very easily. What kind of eyeshadow should I wear with bronzer and peach tinted lip gloss?
as you have brow eyes i would suggest gold or brown this goes really nice with bronze
or try combining them both brown on the bottom of the lid going lighter then gold nearer to the crease in the lid of your eye
i have tried this and my eyes are brown and it looks really good.
hope this helps. What kind of eyeshadow should I wear with bronzer and peach tinted lip gloss?
I think brown below and peach on top is a good mixture for your eyes.
If you want you can add a little pink on the peach.
Natural mineral eye shadows in the neutral or natural tones.
you could try a light brown (not to light) or a soft gold.
hope this helps
earthtones i like wearing a bit of orangy bronze on my lids it brings i have blue eyes but its works well with brown too
maybe like a gold color would look nice. or a blueish green
I'm thinking gold or a mixture of browns! pair that with a pale lipcolor!

High gloss paint-what kind of walls do you have to have?
i've heard that high gloss shows all the imperfections on your walls-is this true? and how would you prepare your walls to be painted over with high gloss paint?High gloss paint-what kind of walls do you have to have?
Yes high gloss paint shows all the imperfections BUT holds up the best and is most durable due to all the polymers added in the paint. To prepare wall take a flash light and put it on the wall so that the light will shine along the walls plane,
moving flashlight up and down while holding flat on wall you will be able to see high spots and or imperfections which then can be attended to befor applying new paint.
Hope i helped , Integrity Painting Palmcoast FloridaHigh gloss paint-what kind of walls do you have to have?
Yes, imperfections are much more noticeable on high gloss walls. Unless it's the kitchen or bathroom, you could try using eggshell or satin paint. They can be cleaned and you do not have to apply as many coats. When painting over semigloss you can just put a coat of primer. With semigloss if your using a deep color you may need several more coats vs an eggshell/satin or flat.
Go over the walls with a PRIMER 1st; then go with your high-gloss; just remember that when you decide to re-paint it again, later on, you'll have to put the Primer on first, so new paint will stick to the slick surface.
Yes... high gloss shows all imperfections, because it reflects the light... so all bumps and nicks will show up more...

How do I clean spray piant & hi-gloss latex paint off of cement?
We pulled the carpet up in our living room to prepare for a new tile or wood floor. The builders left quite a painted mess on the cement slab. We're also considering the option of using cement paint and painting the floor rather than installing a new floor, for now.How do I clean spray piant %26amp; hi-gloss latex paint off of cement?
There's really no good way. The latex paint may come off if you scrape it. (I'd reccommend a 5-in-1 painter's tool. You can pick one up at Lowe's or Home Depot.) If you're really desperate, you could rent a powerwasher and see if that would do it. Try asking someone at the hardware store to see if they have ideas. How do I clean spray piant %26amp; hi-gloss latex paint off of cement?
Paint stripper and a wire brush, it probably won't come off to easy. If you are putting new flooring over this then why would you need to remove it? I would just leave it.
A scraper and some paint remover may help remove it but there is no easy way, hard at it scraping. depending on what you plan to instal you may need to only smooth it down.

http://maccosmetics.com and http://www.sephora.com have all the lip gloss colors that you can think of. you can visit these sites, but it's best to visit the freestanding stores or outlets so you can test the colors for yourself and ask the opinion of the makeup artists.
judging from your features, a nice sheer berry shade is good so your lips don't disappear into your face.Does anyone know a good store or website to find good color lip gloss?
Try www.threecustom.com

What is the proper method for painting a door with latex semi gloss so you don't get stop and start lines.?
I am getting stop and start brush lines even though I am flicking my wrist with the brush and I just don't stop and pull the brush away, but I am still getting stop and start lines. It might help to take the door off the hinges %26amp; paint it while it's laying flat. What is the proper method for painting a door with latex semi gloss so you don't get stop and start lines.?
Cut in around the door knob..or tape if need be(i dont have painted 37 years)..paint the paint on from top to bottom a brush width at a time..but do pretty quick..do not worry about the marks at this time..brush the whole door then ';tip it out'; meaning start your brush at the bottom of the door either left to right or right to left..your preference put the brush lightly at the bottom and brush all the way tothe top very lightly all in one stroke..this is called Tipping it out....You can use a product called ';floetrol'; available at walmart which is a paint additive that keeps a ';wet edge'; on the paint cuaisng it not to show lap marks, and as well the brush marks will self level and ';flow in';.. This is for latex paint..the same company puts out a product called Penatrol for thinner cut paints(oilbase)

Start every brush stroke in an unfinished area, at an edge. Then brush toward the finished area and sweep the brush up and off the work in the same movement. If you stop the brush and then lift it off or set the brush down on a finished area to start the stroke, it will leave extra paint, which shows up as a brush mark or darker spot.
I personally am a fan of the flat sponge pads.

Try long smooth strokes and don't hesitate. lay the door down flat, that way you don't get drips running down the door. Always go from wet to dry areas. For more info try either diy.com or pbs.org/askthisoldhouse.
Use a roller, you won't get any lines at all with one. I like the finish that they leave much better than what is left behind with brushes - smooth %26amp; seamless.
Cut the lock (S) and the hinges in with a brush. Let the paint dry ...overnght....Next day get your self a 4in roller set up.....start at the top and roll the door as fast as you can......within reason......and follow the rolling with a once over brushing to get the roller texture out. LEAVE the door alone until you re coat the next day......P.S. Buy your supplies at a Paint Store....Sherwin Williams. Glidden, Duron etc.....Wallymart is for the Station Wagon contractors
painting a door is really hard.. go look at some others to get an idea.. the cross sections all go one way and the verticle go up and down...

hand sand the door then when the door is smooth take the brush and gently go up and down and dont change the direction you paint or it will come out weird

How do I clean a high gloss laminate floor?
I just had the complete upstairs redone with Bruce Laminate flooring and am wondering how to clean it so that it doesn't lose its shine. I heard people say they use a swifter but am unsure if it is the older version with moist pads or the wet jet that shoots a cleaner out.How do I clean a high gloss laminate floor?
Just a dry swiffer, unless it is dirty, then you need to clean it with vinagar and water, and I would then dry mop the excess moisture off.

How do you get your lip gloss to stay on?
Everytime i put lipgloss on it starts to disappear after a few seconds and it makes my lips go all dry and start peeling. Why is this happeneing and how can i stop it?How do you get your lip gloss to stay on?
Here's a trick I discovered a few months ago:
Apply lots of chapstick, and I mean lots! don't skimp on the stuff. After that, use a lipstick. it can be nude, but it doesn't matter. It gives the gloss another ';layer'; to the chapstick, meaning it will take longer for the gloss to get through. How do you get your lip gloss to stay on?
You can buy sticks that you apply over your lipgloss and it helps stay on!
They're really cool, try them.
You can probably buy one from your local make-up store! :)
Answer mine?
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
Buy covergirls lipstain, it stays on long. Or covergirls other lipgloss that stays on for 12 hours without getting of.
If you moisturize your lips before applying the lip gloss on that will help you out allot. Just a simple lip balm will do the trick = )
same thing happens to medownloads

What are the different types of paint i know there's semi gloss but what are the others?
like at the home depot they show how they differ in shine what are those called? What are the different types of paint i know there's semi gloss but what are the others?
Lowest to highest sheen
1. Flat -ceilings
2.Washable flat -my favorite for most walls, not for bathrooms or kitchens. They are scrubbable and can be touched up.
3. Eggshells/ satins- good for kitchens and baths. Won't touch up like a flat though.
4. Semi-gloss- for trim,doors etc. Never walls!!!
5.Gloss- If you want shiny trim...here I am.
6. I'd step up from Home Depot paints and advice...It's not good. At all. What are the different types of paint i know there's semi gloss but what are the others?
Flat....no shine at all great for ceilings.
Eggshell...just a little shine great for walls in general easier to clean than flat particularly around light switches or where people touch walls
Semi-Gloss walls and ceiling in kitchen and bath trim elsewhere dont forget to add mildewcide for bathrooms in particular
Gloss usually for trim only I consider it too shiny and much too likely to chip if bumped
HD Behr brand paint is not bad at all
Edward S is correct.
Also, there is enamel paint. Very durable %26amp; washable but better not stop while painting or will see your stop/start lines.
Exterior house paint is tougher and also have oil based paints.

What is the best kind of gloss paint?
i need to know which is better gloss or semi gloss paint. we have flat paint now but cant clean walls without having stains on them from flat paint looking nasty any suggestions please help !! what is the best way to clean flat white paint ??What is the best kind of gloss paint?
they make a new lip gloss paintWhat is the best kind of gloss paint?
The answer is pretty simple, semi gloss is gloss paint... no difference... if you like the look of a flat wall paint and not really a fan of a shiny look (semi-gloss) then I suggest a low-sheen semi-gloss paint... it looks a little like a flat paint but cleans like a semi-gloss... ask your paint dealer for a low sheen semi gloss and he'll be glad to show you some samples !!!

You might want to try a foam rollerWhat is the proper method for painting a door with latex semi gloss so you don't get stop and start lines.?
i start the next brush stroke after picking up more paint just beyond the end of the last stroke. the overlap on the downstroke making sure not to flicking my wrist. when i am at the end of a stroke with the brush i pull my hand and brush away from the surface without stopping the stroke or flicking my wrist. the start lines are most likely because you are placing the brush on the surface for your upstroke then not completely overlapping the start line on the downstroke. the stop line isnt really important because it will be fixed with the next stroke.
We bought a really cheap paint sprayer and did it that way. When you spray the paint on the door it looks sort of ';bumpy'; but the bumps fade into the paint once it dries. It actually works really well other than the fact that you have to spray the doors outside becuase the paint travels.
You can roll it if the door is a flat one OR you can spray it. Both will do just fine. It WILL eliminate your problem.downloads

You can roll it if the door is a flat one OR you can spray it. Both will do just fine. It WILL eliminate your problem.
How to make homemade candles/lip gloss?
I've been wanting to make some homemade candles and lip gloss for awhile now but i have no idea where to begin looking for ingredients or anything of that sort. Anyone have any tips or good websites you know of? Anything will be muchly appreciated and helpful! How to make homemade candles/lip gloss?
Check out these sites. I make both and it's really easy ;)

http://lifestyle.iloveindia.com/lounge/h鈥?/a>
For lipgloss, basically you just need vaseline and a flavor (if you wish) and tint. You can use old lipstick or kool-aid if you really want to get creative. I use old Carmex jars to store it in ;)
When it comes to making candles, go to thrift stores and get old pots and pans, USE A THERMOMETER, and essential oils are your friend, they are a little expensive, but a little bit goes a really long way.
Most of all, have fun and experiment!!!

How long should I keep lip gloss and lipstick?
I am doing some major cleaning and noticed I have lip gloss and lipstick for some time. (a few years!) Apparently I forgot I had them. Should I toss them or are they still good? How long should I keep lip gloss and lipstick?
keep them for a year the most or two.. than throw them.. tehy expireHow long should I keep lip gloss and lipstick?
You should keep them for six months to a year. They do expire.
LOL I have a lipstick that I have had for years now but I don't want to throw it because it looks good on me and it does no harm.
As a rule, all make-up has a shelf life of 1-2 years.
well it depends u want em keep em u dont toss em its not tht hard
Yap, just keep them for 12 months then throw them out. :-)
Most makeup has a fairly long shelf life up to a year! However, there are certain things which you may want to consider for replacing it outside of that timeline.
Lipticks and glosses and balms....Have you had a cold? A cold sore?
Eye makeup..........Any eye irritaitons? Styes, pink eye or conjunctivitis? etc.
Face ... Any breakouts? Wounds? Runny nose?
Friends....... (I hope you don't share!!) But if you have, and if your friends have had any of these problems, then those bacteria are growing in your makeup.
You are supposed to throw it out after a year. The reason for this is because it contains a lot of germs that can make you sick or give you an infection. The longer you keep it the more germs you can acquire.

How do you remove dried semi-gloss latex paint from carpet?
once it is dried the only way we could remove it was by taking an old towel and putting it over it, then ironing the towel (while its over the paint) which remoistens the paint. Then you can use a strong carpet cleaner product to pull it out. This also works on wax except you wont need a carpet cleaning product, the wax will stick to the towel or the hot surface. How do you remove dried semi-gloss latex paint from carpet?

How do you remove dried semi-gloss latex paint from carpet?
There is this ';miracle'; product called ';GOO-GONE'; that you can find in the cleaning section of your local supermarket. If it doesn't get all of the paint off, when it's dry, try scraping it with your nail to get it off. I've just redone 3 rooms in my house and paint was flying everywhere... these are the things I've tried. Good Luck!!

What is the proper method for painting a door with latex semi gloss so you don't get stop and start lines.?
I am getting stop and start brush lines even though I am flicking my wrist with the brush and I just don't stop and pull the brush away, but I am still getting stop and start lines. Should I be painting from the freshly painted section to a new dry section or starting in new dry section and painting up to a painted section. I need some advice with technique. Thank you in advance for your answers. What is the proper method for painting a door with latex semi gloss so you don't get stop and start lines.?
what i use is a 4 '; mini roller--start at bottom--roll half way up--then brush down ward, keeping straight lines with brush, lightly ,then do top half using same method, when brush comes to wet paint below follow thru, don t just stop, never try to brush paint after it starts to dry, it will roll on you, and never paint in direct sun light, if the surface is hot paint will dry too quick, always paint from dry to wet, stir paint often, practice on scrap material to get the hang of it, even if it a big piece of card board good luck and thanks for asking meWhat is the proper method for painting a door with latex semi gloss so you don't get stop and start lines.?
Roll doors. Two coats.
use a roller. the brush marks arent that noticable when it dries also u could try to let the paint dry just enough to get tacky then take your brush lightly back over it. usually works for me
Don't buy cheap paint. Also, clean door with TSP first.
Use whats called a hot dog roller! really works great!!
1. Have you cleaned and PRIMED the door? 2. Was the paint stirred WELL? 3. Interior paint for indoors and EXTERIOR paint for outdoors. 4. Use a roller. 5.Finally SPRAY (air paint) the door. IT SOUNDS LIKE THE PAINT WASNT STIRRED WELL.
I agree with Dr Dirt, but I would add .. I use a heaver coat of paint That helps hide brush and roller marks, cause the paint is just heavy enough to flow back and fill in the marks.... the thinner you spread out the paint the more marks are left...that and practice is the key.

Can anyone help me find Lip Gloss; clear to nude and has not one speck of glitter?
I have medium skin brown-blonde hair, my lips are naturally red-pink, I don't like it. I am on a constant search for a lip gloss that almost makes my lips invisible; colorless.
I usually have to make my own but would rather just buy one.
I hate glitter.
Any suggestions? Can anyone help me find Lip Gloss; clear to nude and has not one speck of glitter?
C.O. Bigelow lip balms are clear and moisturize your lips very nicely. You can find those at Bath %26amp; Body Works. For a nude lipstick that actually works, try out M.A.C's nude lipsticks. Can anyone help me find Lip Gloss; clear to nude and has not one speck of glitter?

Lancome Lip Gloss- Chai Freeze
Mac Lip Gloss- C-Thru
go to www.eyeslipface.com
I also love the same type of lipgloss. Use MAC lipglass, the color is called Underage. It is amazing.
Bath and body works has clear lip gloss. It is called Mentha Lip Shine. As far as I know it is all clear except for the light green tube is pink tinted but very pretty.
Also Aquafina has Hydrating lip oil that is really nice. Its clear also with no glitter. I think you can get it at Walmart or Dollar Stores.
And if nothing else you can always use Vaseline.
M.A.C. has awesome lipgloss..they have many styles but i think the one you'd want to look for is lipglass. They have styles that are sparkly and styles that are plain.
i'm pretty sure you can just go to mac.com but if you can't then type ';mac cosmetics'; in GOOGLE and you should be able to find the items..also M.A.C. is sold in major department stores such as Macys..so if you live by one go look! [:

How do I get a nice gloss on my horse's coat?
I was at a horse show this past weekend and I would spray Show Sheen on my horse's coat but the finished product just didn't look right. His fur sort of stood up and got ruffly. Is there any suggestions on how to get a nice, flat, polished gloss look on your horse's coat before a show? How do I get a nice gloss on my horse's coat?
For your horse to be truly shiny, you need to feed them right. He needs oil in his diet by the sounds of his coat. Corn oil(not veggie), flaxseed oil. They both are good. Put high end feeds in him for you next show. Big show people with horses get their shine from the inside out.How do I get a nice gloss on my horse's coat?
The best thing to do, although it takes regularity, is to fully groom your horse at least once a day, maybe more. Look at some books or websites that have how to properly groom your horse, and it will start to shine, in a pretty short amount of time.
If you don't have the time to groom your horse every day, then you can feed them supplements. Faram's Super 14 supplement is what I use during the show season, it works very well. I noticed a difference in just about a week. You can also feed them vegtable oil, but this can make him gain weight too.
If your show is comming in a few days, you can give your horse a bath, washing and conditioning his whole coat. Or you can use spray on glossers, found at your local farm store, Tractor Supply, State Line Tack, or Dover Saddlery. Hope this helps.
my horse had the same troubles. i did a trial and error period and tried new coat feed dressing toppers and switched my horse to different feeds with more nutrients. coat dressing was what seemed to work the best for me. after a few days it gives your horse a nice glossy shine and makes the fur very soft and pretty. it also prevents the coat from feeling kind of ';gunky'; like sprays and soaps cause. it is also very affordable and it also helped with my horses hooves.
There is no better way to get a shine on any horses coat then to make sure they get quality feed and a good brush down every day, especially after a sweaty ride. The day before a show I like to bathe my horses with some sort of shampoo (make sure it all gets rinsed out) and blanket them with a sheet or turnout coat. If I am banding or braiding the mane I put on a neck sleezy too. To get that extra shine at a show I lightly mist Show sheen on a sponge and rub it on. I always put a bit on my horse's nose and ears as well as their chest and knees to define their points. Avoid spraying directly onto your horse becouse that is always to much and it dries crunchy looking! Also if you have a grey with black points like I do it never hurts to give that black and extra shine for a pop-out look.
I can tell you that feeding the right nutrients is essential to your horses outlook. If it was winter time or fall your horse probably still had his thick coat. I use a wire curry comb in the winter show season. Also there is another product like show sheen it is called ultra. most of the arabian riders use it on their show horses and swear by it. I tried it and you have to be very careful because it can make your horse look oily if you over apply it just put barely any on a rag and very lightly run it along your horses coat. Another thing is legacy is a hoof joint and coat supplement and it changed my horses coat in a month.
Properly groom your horse on a regular basis, especially prior to a show. Using all the different appropriate brushes will bring out the natural oils in your horse's skin. There is not an artificial product on the market that can make your horse look as beautiful as good grooming. And his natural oils won't allow your saddle to slip like show sheen and all that other chemical junk.
I bathe my horse the night before the show with all his coloring shampoos. Then I apply conditioner to his mane and tail. Then I apply a bath oil to his coat. I use a great product by the maker ';Carr %26amp; Day %26amp; Martin';, www.toklat.com, it is the coat conditioner and it comes in a oil in a bottle. The spray also works good to to spray in the mane/tail for any detangling or also as a spray (like ShowSheen) to mist over your horses body just before your showmanship class.
After all the excess water has been slicked off his body, I spray the ShowSheen all over. Especially on his ';topline';, hindquarters and legs.
Then i put a hood (a Slinky) on him and a flysheet or lightweight stable sheet, on him, band/brain his mane, braid his tail and pull it up so that it is just over his hocks, and wrap his legs in polo wraps.
I agree, your nutrition program is the most important, and I agree with American but to me your question describes a horse that does not have a tight short coat. No matter what topical stuff you use its gonna look like crap. At this point you have 2 solutions, blanket up your horse, feed good and groom the piss out of him with a curry, vacuum, brushes and wipe down with a cloth, now this will take 6 weeks to get a super coat, or you can body clip him, use a slicker and blankets, hot oil treatments and rub with cloths to bring out natural oils.this process takes only a few weeks. I would also have a vet check for cushings if your horse is not letting go of his coat.
what i do for my mare is i give her 1/2 a cup of flax seed everyday, and before shows (like the night before) i show sheen her and put her blanket and sleezy on.
in my opinion the first step to a glossy looking coat is getting your horses hair shorter so it lays down and doesnt stick up. it really helps to blanket and sleezy you horse at night. just be sure that you take it off the next morning so that your horse doesnt bake in the hot sun. and you do this every night unless its a warn night, then what i do it put a fly sheet on her.
hope this helps. :]
Show Sheen is an artificial product. If you want a truly beautiful coat you need to feed the products that will create a healthy horse and give the glossy, silky coat. I feed HP1, a natural supplement from Blueridge. My horses' coats are so dappled, shiny and soft and they even show shiny when they are dusty!
Pryana has a nice every day glossy sheen. I also use the special color enhancer shampoo that works really nice, makes my horse look a beautiful red. I have always used Show Sheen it works fine for me so I can't help you with other sprays.
I started with flax seed in the feed, but have changed to a product called glanzen. It doesn't cost that much more than what I was paying, and it has some other good stuff in it as well. I don't show, but both guys are really glossy and look great!
http://horsetech.com/glanzen.htm#Quick%2鈥?/a>
You can add 2 tablespoons of corn oil to his grain or linseed meal in his feed. Lots of brushing shines the coat and it is best not to bath a horse before a show it does dull their coat, vacuuming works better.
while this might take a while if you can leave him outside at night and groom him a lot and make sure it is throw it could take a while put it works try not to leave him outside when it is really sunny.... it will bleach him out
If you aren't wanting to spend a whole lot of money you can pour vinegar onto a rag and wipe it gently onto your horse's coat. It's an old trick my grandfather taught me. Really works!
Keep your horses coat clipped short so it can't get very dusty or dirty and groom regularly. Make sure your horse is healthy and it will have a natural shine.
you could always use this stuff called show pepi. i use that for my horses every time i got go to a show. and btw wat show did u go to last week
Johnsons baby oil....Especially good if you have a black bay or chestnut horse. I use it and i think its better than show sheen etc and its alot cheeper aswell.
Add Calf Manna to his feed. Groom him daily. Then use something like Show Sheen sparingly.
Feed you horse flax seed cookies- they work wonders ;)
there are many products out there but I haven't ever tried any of them... I would suggest going to a local tack store...

what i do for my mare is i give her 1/2 a cup of flax seed everyday, and before shows (like the night before) i show sheen her and put her blanket and sleezy on.
in my opinion the first step to a glossy looking coat is getting your horses hair shorter so it lays down and doesnt stick up. it really helps to blanket and sleezy you horse at night. just be sure that you take it off the next morning so that your horse doesnt bake in the hot sun. and you do this every night unless its a warn night, then what i do it put a fly sheet on her.
hope this helps.

How can I clean a brush which I used to paint with gloss paint?
How can I clean a brush which I used to paint with gloss paint (white spirit based paint)? It doesn't clean in water, why?How can I clean a brush which I used to paint with gloss paint?
because it's an oil based paint. you need turps, or white spirit. How can I clean a brush which I used to paint with gloss paint?
Spirit and water don't mix. To clean a paintbrush recently used for spirit-based paint, soak it in white spirit. Alternatively you can soak it in a proprietary paint-brush cleaner and wash that out with water. If the paint has dried - throw the brush away.
White spirit based????? Wouldn't be very good paint lol.
You need white spirit (turps) to break down the paint on the brushes and remove it.
I think petrol or paraffin will also work
Turps or white spirit. Soak the brush in it overnight and rinse in the morning. All clean!

What is the best lip gloss in the world and why?
I'm trying to find out if those pricey high end lip glosses are worth it.What is the best lip gloss in the world and why?
I like MACWhat is the best lip gloss in the world and why?
Victoria Secret Beauty Rush! Awesome color, smells good, and stays on forever! Also only $7!!!
dior mac and chanel they all are really glossy
dior - because it's really nice and glossy
also, the balm ';plump'; gloss because it's glossy, smells good, plumps your lips, and leaves a nice shimmering sheen on you lips.
I love Mineral Girlz lip gloss. It lasts longer than any other lip gloss I have tried.
Drugstore brand: Maybelline Shinylicious - it has great consistancy and it lasts, plus they all smell great.
Department store brand: MAC lipglass - same as above, though is thicker and lasts longer.
my lip gloss, cuz itz poppin
i dont think there is much of a difference except for maybe the range in colors and the texture-feel and smell of the products that you cant get in loreal or maybelline. but there is a big difference between the designer brands and say Wet n Wild and NYC.

MAC because it makes your lips look huge. I'm telling you its freaking the most amazing product on the market. I love MAC more then anything in the world.... Also Estee Lauder lips gloss in psychedelic-- looks good on anyone
I forget what its called, but theres a lipgloss tested that didnt come off the testers for 2 whole days! I belive it was 50 dollars or so. Thats a good deal, but only if you have 50 bucks laying around, can track down the company, and absolutly LOVE gloss. I don't. I bought a $4 lip balm from target, which gives a natural shine without coming off, and left it. Good luck!
